Secrets are a group of 19 Easter eggs in Tiny Rails which the player can activate under the correct circumstances. They result in various animations and/or sound effects, and some are easier to obtain than others. Each Secret, upon completion, will be unlocked in the Secrets menu and reward the player with 5 . Many Secrets will trigger their animations/effects every time the player triggers them, but will not unlock again or give the player any rewards . Several Secrets have been deactivated since their inception, most likely because they were too easy to unlock.
Spoiler Warning: This page lists all of the Secrets of Tiny Rails, each one's activation requirements, and the effects of each one. If you do not wish to read such information, do not read this page.
1. Air Drop - When traveling, click/tap on an airplane. It will drop a small package held up by a small white parachute. Click/tap on the package or the parachute as they fall, and the parachute will pop, causing the package to fall to the ground. At this point, you will unlock the secret. The package also gives you two* random pieces of cargo that will be added to either the cargo on the train or your depot (only if you have not unlocked that piece of cargo yet).

*This secret is affected by Hank's level, meaning you'll get more cargo from the packages as he is upgraded. At first, the secret gives you two pieces of cargo, but each of Hank's levels increases that amount by 1.
2. Ali's Smokes - First, make sure you are using a steam engine, and that smoke is being emitted. For Mobile users, put two fingers on the screen to the left and right of the chimney, with the chimney in the center. You'll see the smoke trying to avoid the spot right in the middle of your two fingers. Make multiple circular movements to unlock the secret. For PC users, hold Right Click and circle the smoke stack. Upon unlocking it, the smoke will change color to one of 14 different hues. 3. Blast From The Past - Equip the Arcade car and click/tap on it several times. A loud sound effect resembling the audio from retro video games will play. If the player taps the car more times than necessary to unlock the Secret, the sound effect will repeat and stack over itself.

4. Cowboom - Have Hank active, then, when he throws dynamite at a cow, keep clicking/tapping the dynamite on the cow. The dynamite will get redder a vibrate, eventually exploding the cow. It them splits into 3 smaller cows, which climb up on top of the player's Engine and eventually get lifted up via tractor beam into a flying saucer.
5. Cracked - Click/tap the glass of the gumball machine multiple times until it breaks. This doesn't affect the functionality of the machine at all, and each time the Secret is unlocked, a different cracking texture appears.
6. Do A Barrel Roll - Click/tap on a biplane as it flies across the screen. It will, as the Secret's name suggests, perform a barrel roll. Contrary to popular belief, biplanes will appear after the completion of the Tutorial, and this Secret can be unlocked with any biplane.

7. Don't Bother Me - Go to the passenger screen and click/tap any of their faces multiple times. After a few taps/clicks, it will become an angry, red, emoji-like face. This does not affect the amount of that passenger pays, and they will become normal after exiting and re-entering the passengers screen. This Secret used to be called Don't Tap On Me.
8. emarF ynihS PZZZRP - When you click/tap on a fully upgraded button on the Upgrades menu, the button's gold border will show a shining animation. You need to trigger 4 of these shining animations in a row (they can be on the same button of different buttons) to unlock the secret. The screen will be filtered into changing shades of maroon and cyan, eventually turning back into its normal colors. A reversed message also plays, and when played backwards it says, It's a weapon. It's really powerful. Especially against living things. PRZZZP! This is a reference to Barry's famous line from the Resident Evil series. When written from back to front, the Secret's name translates to PRZZZP Shiny Frame.
9. Full Throttle - Double click/tap anywhere on the train or background to speed up the train to about x1.25 its normal speed (Using the Doc's Time Machine Engine improves this to about x1.3) for approximately 7 seconds. The speed the train is sped up to changes proportionally to the train's normal speed. A sonic boom animation plays in front of the Engine throughout the duration of the Secret. It cannot be activated when the player is less than 2km from a Station.

10. Gone Fishing - Click/tap the area near the wave textures in the bottom-left portion of the Hudson Bay (the large body of water north of Canada East). You must click/tap at least twice in quick succession. When the Secret is unlocked, an animation showing a pixelated green fish that jump out of and back into the water will play near where the water was tapped/clicked. It plays over and over if the player keeps tapping/clicking. This Secret was deactivated on Mobile for some time.
11. Impatient - Where it tells you how far until the next station is reached, tap the tiny train icon (either once or a couple of times). It will play a quiet train horn sound effect, which stacks if it is clicked more times than necessary. It is often drowned out by the game's music.
12. Lizard Prince and the Deer - This is notoriously the hardest Secret to obtain in Tiny Rails. Similar to the Cowboom Secret, but with the deer obstacle. Have Hank active, then, when he throws dynamite at a deer, keep clicking/tapping the dynamite on the deer. If you time it right the secret animation, where the deer and Hank have an argument and Godzilla makes an appearance, will start. You will have to click/tap on the deer again each time the pitch of its voice increases to complete the animation and get the Secret.

13. Master Popper - Click/tap on the rising emoticons when arriving at a station. They will swell and pop, and when enough are popped, the Secret will be unlocked.
14. Pen & Ink - Go to the Log book and in the top left-hand corner (where it says Quest Log) click/tap on the pen and ink. (Again, either once or a couple of times.)
15. Shiny Rails - Click repeatedly on the large Tiny Rails logo on the main menu screen. It will rapidly flip over, then quickly return to its normal state. To obtain this Secret on Mobile, the player must perform it when they first begin the game, as they cannot find the main menu screen again unless they delete and reinstall the app.

16. Tail Spin - When traveling, click/tap on any helicopter when it passes. It will perform a tail spin. Helicopters, like biplanes and airplanes, are available at any point in the game, and can be found after the tutorial.
17. Third Rock from the Sun - Click/tap on the sun a couple of times. It will suddenly vibrate and drop out of the sky, causing the world to go dark and grayscale for a few seconds. Any lights on cars that are on during the day will stay on. During this period, all menus disappear and the player is unable to interact with anything on the screen until the sun rights itself.
18. Thunderstruck - Click/tap on any of the clouds on the main menu until lightning strikes. To obtain this Secret on Mobile, the player must perform it when they first begin the game, as they cannot find the main menu screen again unless they delete and reinstall the app.

19. Tip the Scales - Click/tap at least once on all of Valerie's Tips. After completing the tutorial, you need to tap the following elements in the upper center part of the screen one by one. Each click/tap results in a tip given by Valerie. When the last tip appears, the secret is unlocked.
The following Secrets used to be unlockable in the game, but were removed in a later version and replaced with the current Secrets. Some of these still trigger animations, but none of these appear on the Secrets menu or give the player any reward.
5. Lighthouse - Click/tap on any lighthouse in the background as your train is traveling. This Secret was very similar to the Windmill Secret.

11. From Russia With Love - Tap/click on Nika's face in her dialogue box. She will wink her right eye. Even though this Secret has been deactivated, the winking animation still triggers when her face is tapped/clicked.
