Installed for a customer situated in Maidstone, Kent, is this Blakeney Summerhouse; a chalet-style summerhouse from our vast range of FSC® certified garden buildings. Like all of our garden buildings, it was designed and hand-made to order inside our Norfolk factory before being delivered and installed at our customer’s address by members of our expert installations team. As part of the end-to-end service we offer our customers, we include delivery and installation in the price of all of our buildings.
Our Blakeney Summerhouse can be hand-crafted in a variety of sizes. They can be as small as 2.4 x 1.8m and as large as 4.8 x 6.0m, with plenty of sizes in between. Our customer has opted for a Blakeney measuring 2.4 x 2.4m, and we also offer more tailored sizes on request. The Blakeney has an apex roof design with a charming overhang above the double doors and two fixed windows in the gable. On this particular building, this is also a window in the side that is opening to allow air to flow freely through the building. The roof has been covered in grey slate effect tiles and the windows are made using double glazed 4mm toughed safety glass. The exterior has a smooth finish, thanks to the shiplap cladding, and it is painted in the exterior paint system colour of Sage.

The specification we eventually worked out with your help is exactly what we wanted and fits the site perfectly. The Blakeney come unlined as standard making it a building purely for summer use. As our customer wanted to use it all year-round, they have opted to have it fully lined and insulated. An electric pack has also been installed to enable the summerhouse to be supplied with power and lighting. The walls have been lined in Ivory painted matchboard and Heritage Oak engineered flooring has been laid, which sits on top of existing floorboards, with a layer of underlay in between, providing further insulating and sound absorbing benefits.

The Wiveton is an octagonal summerhouse with windows in four out of its eight sides, as well as in the double doors. The amount of glazing on this lovely garden summerhouse will allow plenty of natural light to flood the interior while also offering you the opportunity to admire your garden from different angles as you relax inside. The Wiveton is available in 4 different sizes, with our customer opting for our 2.4 x 3.0m size for their outdoor summerhouse. It has cedar shingles covering its octagonal roof and the windows are leaded in style. Our customer has chosen to have their summerhouse delivered and installed with a two-tone painted finishing using our Exterior Paint System. The shiplap cladding is painted in Lizard, with the window and door frames nicely highlighted in Cream.

Our customer has also opted to have floor insulation installed for extra comfort. The walls and ceiling inside our customer’s garden summerhouse are lined with Natural matchboard for a warm, cosy feel and the floor has been treated with a Light Oak lacquer, helping to protect the timber while giving it a nice sheen. If you would prefer for the interior of your summerhouse to have a different look, we offer painted matchboard lining and four engineered flooring colours for you to choose from as an optional extra. Another optional extra we offer is to have our summerhouses delivered and installed with electrics installed. Electrics is an option selected by our customer so that they could have power and lighting supplied to their new garden summerhouse.
